SNF: New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens, 8:20 EST
MNF: Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants, 8:15 EST
If you haven’t noticed, theBRKDWN is changing up our coverage of NFL primetime games. Instead of having a SNF betting/DFS guide combined into one article, we will now be covering SNF AND MNF in two separate articles from here on out for the rest of the NFL season.
This week we have two games on our primetime slate. The Patriots are heading to Baltimore to take on the Ravens who are coming off a bye week and the well-rested Cowboys are also coming off a bye week and heading to New York City to play the Giants. Here are our start, sit and sleeper recommendations for this slate!
Michael Gallup, WR, DAL
Fanduel Price: $8,400
Draftkings Price: $7,000
Gallup faced the Giants already in Week 1 where he caught all seven balls thrown his way for 158 yards. The Giants have allowed the third-most Fantasy points to opposing receivers this season and although Gallup struggled his last two games against the Jets and the Eagles, he should be well rested and ready to bounce back this week on MNF against the Giants.
Dak Prescott, QB, DAL
Fanduel Price: $8,300
Draftkings Price: $6,600
Dak would be your safest bet to start at QB on this slate. He is going to be well-rested coming off a bye week and is QB for an intimidating Cowboys offense who rank first in total yards per game (third in total passing yards per game). He faces a terrible Giants defense who rank 28th in total yards allowed per game and 25th in total passing yards allowed per game this season. Dak already faced this Giants defense in Week 1 this season and destroyed them throwing four TDs with 25 completions and 405 yards.
Mark Ingram, RB, BAL
Fanduel Price: $7,300
Draftkings Price: $5,000
Ingram is my favourite RB on this slate because he is decently-priced and because the Ravens are ranked first in rushing yards per game this season. We saw the Patriots struggle a little against Nick Chubb last week when he rushed for 131 yards on 20 carries against them and fumbled twice which is unfortunate for Browns fans. The way for the Ravens to beat the Patriots defense is probably going to be through their running game and I expect Ingram to get a lot of touches in this game. He will also be fresh out of the gate off a bye week and I will not be surprised if he becomes the first RB to score against the Patriots defense this season!
James White, RB, NE
Fanduel Price: $6,200
Draftkings Price: $5,100
White is listed as questionable. He suffered a toe injury the past week which was described as “very minor.” I do expect him to play in Week 9 in Baltimore however and if that is the case, this is his kind of game! The Ravens defense will prevent the Patriots from passing the ball deep and limit their running game. Expect White to be a big part of the Patriots receiving game this week. I also would not be surprised if Brady uses White often for short dump offs often against a tough Ravens defense. If you do decide to play White in your lineup(s), just keep an eye on that injury status.
Daniel Jones, QB, NYG
Fanduel Price: $5,500
Draftkings Price: $4,200
Daniel Jones has looked terrible against top 10 ranked defenses in the NFL this year (Patriots, Vikings and Cowboys, his Week 9 opponent). Sure he looked great against the Lions last week, but they are ranked as the second worst defense in the league!!! There is a reason why he is the cheapest starting QB on this slate this week. Fade him!
Marquise Brown, WR, BAL
Fanduel Price: $5,300
Draftkings Price: $4,500
Brown will be returning this week after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury. He is going to have a tough matchup against cornerback Stephon Gilmore and an impressive Patriots secondary on Sunday night. Although he was averaging just over four receptions per game in the six games before he got hurt, Brown only had two games where he had over 50 receiving yards and only had three TDs in those six games. I am not expecting a big game from Marquise Brown this week.
Fanduel Price: $5,000
Draftkings Price: $4,200
Am I crazy? I am telling you to sit the best defense in the league right now? I have a valid reason why. CHALK! Lots of DFS players are going to be starting the Pats D this week although they are going up against what I would consider to be their most difficult test of the season to date against a Ravens offense who is ranked second in total yards per game and first in total rushing yards per game. Do yourself a favour and fade the Pats defense and spend your budget elsewhere! You could save $500+ on FD and DK if you fade that Pats defense and go with any other defense on this slate!!!
Randall Cobb, WR, DAL
Fanduel Price: $5,300
Draftkings Price: $4,000
Cobb has been quiet this season but I am expecting him to make some noise this week coming off a bye week. As I mentioned before, the Giants have allowed the third-most Fantasy points to opposing receivers. Last week Detroit Lions had four receivers (3WR, 1 TE) destroy the Giants’ secondary and combined for 214 yards and four TDs. Although Cobb has been quiet with only one TD on the season, he averages five targets per game and there is definitely potential for him to breakout this week.
