SNF: Minnesota Vikings (6-3) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-3), 8:20 EST
MNF: Seattle Seahawks (7-2) @ San Francisco 49ers (8-0), 8:15 EST
We are in for a treat in Week 10. There are two games on what is probably the best primetime slate we have seen all season. The Dallas Cowboys are on a short week after playing a MNF game in New York. This week they are playing a prime-time game again on SNF at home against the Minnesota Vikings. Then on Monday night we have an important divisional rivalry game between the well-rested and undefeated San Francisco 49ers against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, SF
Fanduel Price: $8,000
Draftkings Price: $6,000
Jimmy G is probably your safest start at QB on this slate. He has thrown for 6 passing TDs in his last two games and has looked as if he has been connecting real well with his new veteran receiver, Emmanuel Sanders. He is going up against a Seahawks defense who have had an awful passing defense this season (ranked 28th in passing yards per game and T22nd in points allowed per game). The 49ers had extra rest this week as they played on Thursday night of Week 9 and they will be very well prepared as they look to stay undefeated this season as they take on their divisional rivals this week.
George Kittle, TE, SF
Fanduel Price: $7,300
Draftkings Price: $6,200
* MAY BE INJURED * (if so, see sleeper recommendation)*
When healthy, Kittle is San Francisco’s primary receiver even though he is a tight end. His last two games he has caught 6 receptions in each game for 165 total yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye on Kittle’s injury status because there is a good possibility he may not play this week due to a knee injury. If he is injured, scroll down and see my sleeper recommendation!
Kirk Cousins, QB, MIN
Fanduel Price: $7,800
Draftkings Price: $5,900
We witnessed Kirk Cousins struggle last week against Kansas City after his star WR, Adam Thielen left the game with a hamstring injury. I expect Cousins to cool down this week considering the fact that Thielen has been ruled out this week and because the Cowboys have had one of the best defenses in the league this season (ranked 5th in points allowed per game and 7th in passing yards allowed per game). With the Cowboys shutdown secondary and the absence of Thielen, I expect the Vikings to adjust their game plan to rely more on their running game this week (with Dalvin Cook as your RB, how could you not?). Although it is tempting to start Kirk this week because he has been so hot the past couple weeks, try to resist that temptation and stay away from him.
Chris Carson, RB, SEA
Fanduel Price: $7,600
Draftkings Price: $5,700
Carson has an extremely tough matchup this week against the 49ers defense who only give up 14.8 FD points per game and 17.5 DK points per game (4th best in NFL). With guys like DeForest Buckner and Nick Bosa, a Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate and a legit candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, on San Fran’s defensive line, I am scared for the Seahawks offense this week.
Russell Wilson, QB, SEA
Fanduel Price: $8,800
Draftkings Price: $6,300
Russell Wilson is the most expensive QB on this slate despite going up against one of the best defenses in the league. The 49ers secondary allow a league best of 241.0 total yards per game, a league best of 138.1 passing yards per game and a league second best of 12.8 points per game. I expect Wilson to receive lots of pressure from the 49ers pass rush this week with not many open looks given by their secondary. Considering he is the priciest QB on the slate I am not even considering starting him this week.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR, SF
Fanduel Price: $6,600
Draftkings Price: $6,800
Sanders is extremely cheap this week which is why I have him listed as a sleeper rather than a start. He is an elite veteran WR that has thrived in the 49ers offence catching 11 of 14 total targets with touchdowns in both games since getting traded to San Fran in Week 8! I expect nothing less of Sanders this week against an atrocious Seahawks secondary.
Ross Dwelley, TE, SF
Fanduel Price: $4,000
Draftkings Price: $3,100
I need to stop picking on the Seahawks pass defense but here we go again…
The Seahawks secondary is brutal against tight ends. They have given up 591 yards (3rd worst in the NFL), 136.1 total DK points (4th worst in the NFL) and 109.1 total FD points (also 4th worst in NFL) to tight ends this season. With George Kittle most likely out this week, Dwelley will be the 49ers go-to tight end and should be worth a look at starting, especially if you are one of those DFS players who likes to save salary and target cheap players at the TE position.
