Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Ham United Pre-Match Analysis

Tottenham Hotspur had a masterful performance against Manchester United two weeks ago, as it quickly became the best offensive display Spurs have had this season winning 6-1. Tottenham will look to claim three points against West Ham United this weekend on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. EST.

Match Preview

Tottenham’s latest performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford was nothing short of remarkable. What started off as a match of despair when Davinson Sanchez gave up a penalty in the first minute of the match, was then followed by six unanswered goals from a Spurs’ side that was hungry for a victory. Spurs are set to play West Ham United this weekend in a London Derby which has been largely dominated by the N17 side. With key addition in Gareth Bale likely to make his second debut at the club this weekend, supporters will have their eyes glued to the screen as Tottenham is bound to have a beautiful display of attacking options. They will have their work cut out for them though as West Ham has looked a formidable opponent in the past couple of matchdays.

After clobbering Wolverhampton by a scoreline of 4-0, West Ham continued their hot run of form against Leicester winning 3-0. The Hammers showed their graft in the win at Leicester City, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Tottenham this weekend. In their last meeting at the venue, Spurs went on to win 2-0 in a commanding victory, which is yet another reason for us to assume that this match could be competitive.

Predicted Lineup and Outcome

After two weeks off during the international break, Tottenham will look fresh and rested for their London Derby this weekend.

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg having a sensational impact in the United match, we can expect he will start in midfield with Lo Celso and Ndombele who has also had an impressive last two appearances.

After Reguilon proved himself to be a powerful defensive option against United, we can expect Mourinho to give him the start at the back with Aurier, Sanchez, and Dier completing the backline.

With Son netting two goals against United, we will indefinitely see him stacked at the top with Moura and Kane, but don’t be surprised if Bale appears at some point in the match. My prediction on the day is Spurs taking three points over West Ham United with a 3-1 victory.

Tottenham predicted XI (4-3-3): Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Højbjerg, GLC, Ndombele; Moura, Kane, Son.

The Wrap Up:

After a successful window, and key additions to the club, we can expect Tottenham to come out on the pitch with some passion!
