Another week, another edition of the “Over/Under Extravaganza.” Last week was about as average as can be, going .500 on the bets I posted in the article. (Score a point for once Luke Fickell, you bum.) But you know the deal, I give you six picks, three NFL and three CFB, and I give some reasoning behind them. It’s all up to you if you want to follow them or not. Take it or leave it.

Ohio State vs Indiana – OVER 60

This line was one of my four bets I talked about on our podcast, “Campus to Campus” which you can listen to here, (please subscribe, rate, and review or I’ll make sure you’ll never win a bet again.) But the line is dropping. Wednesday night it was at 61, which means hold out as long as possible to get the best line as possible. Ohio State looks better than everyone expected and Indiana is that sometimes-feisty B1G Ten school that is known to take better teams to overtime. Plus Ohio State is always due for an in-conference let down against a poor team.

Notre Dame vs New Mexico – UNDER 64

Many of you will see this and say, “What in the hell are you doing, Jesse?!” But hear me out, Notre Dame has Georgia on the schedule next week, which means they’re not really paying attention to the Lobos of New Mexico. The Lobos won’t shock the world and pull an all-time upset, but it’s going to be closer than everyone thinks. Take the under, and if you’re frisky, take New Mexico on the spread.

Alabama vs South Carolina – OVER 61.5

First off, is it weird to anyone else that this is the first time these two teams are playing in nine years? They play in the same conference, you’d assume it wouldn’t take this long. But really all you need to know is that Bama is elite, South Carolina is trash. This will be one of those games where Tua won’t play in the fourth quarter, and there will be quite a bit of garbage time points. Honestly, unless it’s a rivalry game, ALWAYS take the over in an Alabama game.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Detroit Lions – UNDER 47.5

Hunter Henry is hurt again, Mike Williams might have a knee issue, and there’s no way in hell Austin Ekeler can repeat last week’s performance. The Chargers are doing Chargers things where everyone gets hurt, and the Lions are the Lions. Matt Stafford will go off one week and then collapse the next. This is gonna be your typical ugly game of the week that ends in 24-10.

Baltimore Ravens vs Arizona Cardinals – OVER 46.5

I don’t want it to look like I’m a homer and have the Ravens on here every week, but this is almost as big of a lock as there is. The Cardinals won’t have their two top cornerbacks. It’s Terrell Suggs’ return to Baltimore, and the Ravens are bringing back their Shield as the midfield logo. The Ravens are historic against rookie quarterbacks, have one of the best secondaries in the league, and will want to run all over Suggs and spoil his homecoming. HAMMER that over.

New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins – OVER 48.5

Yes, Tom Brady has struggled in Miami lately, but you all saw how the Dolphins played last week. They were so bad, the players are asking the front office for trades. Now, they have to face arguably the greatest quarterback to play the game, and he has a top-receiver in Antonio Brown making his debut. If the Patriots don’t score over 70 I will be thoroughly upset.
