In this series of articles, we take a look at the top three players this past week from NHL fantasy. These top three players are going to include forwards, defenseman and goaltenders, but not each every week, just whoever has the most points at the end of the week in whatever position.

3. Mark Scheifele, Winnipeg Jets, C

4 GP, 4 G, 4 A, 8 PTS, + 1, 2 PPG, 0 PPA, 1 GWG, 8 SOG

No. 55 was stellar this past fantasy week, recording eight points in four games played. Scheifele has been on a bit of a role lately and will need to in the season stretch if the Jets want to make a top four spot.

2. Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers, C

4 GP, 3 G, 6 A, 9 PTS, + 6, 1 PPG, 3 PPA, 0 GWG, 17 SOG

McJesus was unreal once again and are we really surprised at this by now? The answer is no because McDavid continues to dominate the Canadian Division and is on his way to yet another Art Ross season.

1. Auston Matthews, Toronto Maple Leafs, C

4 GP, 7 G, 5 A, 12 PTS, + 2, 4 PPG, 2 PPA, 1 GWG, 15 SOG

The Maple Leafs best player Auston Matthews has come to play this year and terrorized the Canadian Division with goals. He has 18 goals in 18 games played this year and just potted seven in four games last week. Pure domination from number 34 but, is it enough to grab his first Rocket Richard trophy? We shall find out.
