Tottenham Hotspur has fallen in recent weeks to an abysmal 9th place in the Premier League in the last few weeks as they fell again to Manchester City by a scoreline of 3-1 last weekend. Tottenham will head into this weekend with hope for a new dawn as they will face off on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. EST against European hopefuls West Ham.
Spurs made a flying start to the season, but, all of a sudden, they suffered a dip in form. Jose Mourinho’s troops aim to keep their Champions League hopes alive, and given their attacking potential, we believe that punters can find value in betting on both teams to score.
Olympic Stadium will host Sunday’s local derby between West Ham United and Tottenham. The Hammers aim to build on a routine 3-0 win over Sheffield United, and a triumph over Spurs could see them climb to the Champions League berth.
With the form West Ham are in, and Spurs inconsistencies I will go with a healthy 2-2 draw in the Derby.
Predicted Lineup and Outcome
After playing with the chemistry of the starting 11 for the Lilywhites, we can expect that Jose will alter the starting lineup with some new faces on the pitch.
Jose will likely line up defensively, which is bound to be a scrappy match. I see regulars Hojbjerg and Ndombele alongside an in-form Lamela this weekend.
We can expect four at the back to fill in the formation, and I think Sanchez will come back with Alderweireld, Reguilon, and Doherty filling out the rest.
With Kane being the only in-form attacker right now, we will definitely see him stacked at the top with Son and Lucas.
Tottenham predicted XI (4-3-3): Lloris; Reguilon, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Doherty; Højbjerg, Ndombele, Lamela; Lucas, Kane, Son.
The Wrap Up:
After a week of mixed feelings, Spurs’ supporters will be hoping that the club can take three points against West Ham this week to continue their work of moving to the top four of the table.
