The NHL’s Offseason is fast approaching and there are many players that can be on the way out of their respective teams; including Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues. Tarasenko recently requested a trade out of St. Louis not too long ago, so today will be looking at the five best options around the league on where he could end up.

5. Montreal Canadiens

The Stanley Cup Finalists would be an excellent sutor for Vlad Tarasenko next season. Tarasenko would be a scoring threat on the squad and would gel really nicely with Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki and Jesperi Kotkiniemi who can all pass the puck to him in a very sneaky, slick way like no one else on the team. Will Tarasenko waive his no trade clause to a Canadian Team? We will have to wait and see.

4. Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers probably need a shake up with the current team they have and something they weren’t great at was putting the puck in the net, and Tarasenko should and will help with that issue. A lock for 30 Goals in a season (when healthy), Tarasnko would be great with some playmakers and leaders on that team to get them through to a Stanley Cup and success. What would the Flyers move, to be honest I don’t know because the Flyers seem to be in on every player they can get this summer, so will wait and see how this plays out.

3. Edmonton Oilers

Now this would be something… Tarasenko traded to the Oilers. The Hockey world would be shocked and surprised as McDavid and Draistal finally get scoring help from the Russian scoring winger. If I’m Tarasenko I’m instantly waiving my no trade clause to be in Edmonton just based on the fact you’re getting passes from 97 and 29 all the time. This would be a sigh of relief for Oilers Nation to get goals from a great player and thats something this team needs and would make their Top six that much better. Will Ken Holland do it, will find out.

2. New York Rangers

If the Rangers strike out on a Jack Eichel trade, then their next best bet is getting Tarasenko from the Blues. Adding to a team full of Russian’s already would be exciting and hopeful for Tarasenko and something he would very much be into. World Junior Russian teammate, Artemi Panarin would be an awesome connection to see play at MSG on a nightly basis that the Rangers would benefit from. Tarasenko, Panarin, Zibanejad, Lafreniere and Kreider would be a mess for opponents.

1. Washington Capitals

Speaking about teams filled with Russians, the Capitals would have basically the National team squad of Russia with Tarasenko. Ovechkin, Orlov, Samsonov, Kuznetsov and Tarasenko would be off the charts. The Blues and Capitals have made moves that have been big before, so why not do one again? This would be nuts if it were to happen because it’s been rumoured that Tarasenko wants to play with Ovi and Kuznetsov and it might actually happen.

So what team do you think will acquire Vladimir Tarsenko?
