The NHL Trade deadline is fast approaching and there are many players that can be on the way out of struggling teams including Taylor Hall of the Buffalo Sabres. Hall has not had a great season in Buffalo, but a team could definitely use his services for a deep playoff run and rejuvenate his lackluster season. Here are five teams that could be in on Taylor Hall.

5. Columbus Blue Jackets

At the beginning of the season the Blue Jackets traded for star winger Patrik Laine and could potentially make another splash for another winger in Taylor Hall. GM Jarmo Kekäläinen is always aggressive at the deadline. He could make the move for his team to increase their chances at beating the Lightning and Hurricanes in the Central Division.

4. Florida Panthers

The Panthers haven’t won a playoff series in many, many years, dating back to the Stanley Cup final appearance a quarter of a century ago. Adding Hall with players like Huberdeau, Barkov and Hornqvist could be the piece missing to get them over the hump. The Panthers have and can make the cap space work to complete a trade with the Sabres, and they also have the picks to include in a trade for Hall.

3. Boston Bruins

The Bruins were interested in Hall when he was a free agent, so a trade could be very possible at the deadline. There is no secret that the Bruins “weakness” is depth scoring at key moments in games when the top line of Marchand, Bergeron and Pastrnak can’t buy a goal. Adding Hall to relieve them of that pressure would be a great addition to the squad. It may sacrifice one of Jake Debrusk and/or Anders Bjork but I think the Bruins would easily trade them for the help and impact of Taylor Hall.

2. Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche were said to be very interested in Taylor Hall in free agency so it makes total sense to be interested again from the standpoint of GM Joe Sakic. The Avs have some cap space to acquire Hall because of a combined $8 million in Erik Johnson and Pavel Francouz’s salaries tied up on LTIR. Some players going the other way to the Sabres in a deal could be Tyson Jost, J.T. Compher and /or Conor Timmins as well as draft picks. Is it worth it for the Avs? 100% yes it is with the already great roster they have put together.

1. New York Islanders

After the devastating news of Islanders captain Anders Lee being done for the season, it’s safe to say the Islanders are going to be shopping around for a replacement. Hall wouldn’t be an exact replacement but would almost be close to a good one. The speed of Hall and Barzal on a line together would be difficult to stop every night to say the least, hopefully on the way to a Stanley Cup. What’s on the way out for a trade? Probably picks and prospects which the Islanders have to make a deal work for both sides.

So where does Taylor Hall actually end up?
