The NHL’s Offseason is fast approaching and there are many players that can be on the way out of their respective teams; including Seth Jones of the Columbus Blue Jackets. A team could definitely use his great services for another season until they would have to re-sign him for a deep playoff run and be put in a successful scenario. Here are five teams that could be in on Seth Jones.

5. Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks have been rumoured to get a big time defenseman the past year and a bit and what better D-Man to get than Seth Jones to bolster your blueline. Jones can provide a very great pairing with Quinn Hughes on the Canucks Blue line for a while if they can trade assets, then sign him long term. This would be excellent for the Canucks if the trade is done properly, and something to keep an eye out for.

4. Boston Bruins

The Bruins have also been in the Defenseman market recently and Jones may be at the top of that list. The Bruins this year went out and got offence which helped them get secondary scoring, but something they missed besides Charlie McAvoy, was a steady D-Man to stabilize the back end. Jones can 100 percent be that guy that helps this Bruins D-Core rejuvenate themselves and look mighty steady next year. What would they give up? We shall see.

3. Detroit Red Wings

A team with multiple assets including picks and prospects that should be all over a Seth Jones trade is the historic Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings are dying for a D-Man like him and Steve Yzerman should know when to attack when a guy like him comes around. Yes the Red Wings aren’t great but, how do you get better? By acquiring players that make your team one step closer to success.

2. Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers are in a weird place right now with great players but no results. What they need is a shake up and if that means acquiring Seth Jones, you make that move. A Top pairing of Jones and Provorov would be a nightmare for opposing teams to play against. Without a stockpile of picks in the kitchen, a Seth Jones would be involving most likely players to “shake up” the Flyers organization. Names like Travis Konencny, Joel Farabee, Shayne Gostisbehere have been in the mix as the return but will have to wait and see.

1. Chicago Blackhawks

The line “Major Players” has been used when talking about Seth Jones and the Chicago Blackhawks. The Hawks have some extra picks and prospects to load off for Jones and maybe be getting more as Duncan Keith is rumored to be out of Chicago. So Jones could be inching closer and closer as a replacement for the long time Blackhawks D-Man. Would the fit work, absolutely yes but at the right price.
